WANA (May 09) – According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the fourth round of indirect negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States will take place on Sunday in Oman.

Abbas Araghchi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, announced the news, stating: “The time and venue of the talks are set by the host country, Oman. Our Omani friends asked about Sunday, and we agreed to that date.”

He added: “Apparently, some coordination has also been made with the other side, and so far, preparations have been made for the talks to take place on Sunday.”

Originally, this round of talks was scheduled for Saturday, May 3, but according to officials, “logistical and technical reasons” caused the delay.

Araghchi described the negotiation process as “progressing” and emphasized: “Naturally, as the talks advance, there is a greater need for consultation and in-depth review. The delegations also need more time to analyze the issues raised, but what’s important is that we are moving step by step in a constructive direction toward addressing the details.”
